About Camille Pissarro
Danish-French painter (Jacob Abraham) Camille Pissarro was a key figure in the Impressionist movement. The only artist whose work was shown at all of the Paris Impressionist exhibitions, he studied under Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot and Gustave Courbet.
Pissarro mentored Paul Cezanne, Edouard Manet , Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Paul Gauguin, and inspired countless other artists. During his Post-Impressionist phase, he explored techniques like pointillism.
